John “Bear” Cloyd has been a self-taught drummer since 1994, drawing inspiration from greats like Dave Weckl, Dennis Chambers, and the late John Blackwell.  His musical journey began in the church, where he first developed his love for rhythm and performance.  By 2002, he had expanded his horizons, exploring a wide range of genres and performing with diverse bands. These experiences shaped his versatile style and deep passion for drumming.
